Superhero Wisdom of the Week

"A man who won't be beaten, can't be beaten." - AQUAMAN

CS CHALLENGE:
Your destiny is your own... and yours alone, superheroes.  No one can completely make your decisions for you or be the you that you've always aspired to be.  If you can decide, truly decide that you are great and good and powerful and true, then nothing and no one can tell you otherwise.  Dare to take control of your path, or if not control, than embrace it completely and with passion and deliberation hold on tight and enjoy the ride!

Superhero Wisdom of the Week

"Understand how important every single decision we make is... when you have gifts like ours, you don't think about yourself first -- you think about how lucky you are to have them, and how much other people need help..." - SPIDER-MAN

Thank you for giving so much of yourself to others, to the the greater good, and for acknowledging your own greatness.  I feel stronger just knowing you are out there, superheroes.

Superhero Wisdom of the Week

"There isn't much justice in this world. Perhaps that's why it's so satisfying -- to occasionally make some." - MARTIAN MANHUNTER

CS CHALLENGE:
In every day, superheroes, there are small moments of greatness.  Be aware of those small moments.  Often we allow them to be overshadowed by occasions of hardship or disappointment.  Dare to see the greatness in every day.  Open your eyes and remember to note the victories, no matter how small or momentary.

Be well and strong,

CS ALERT: The Charles Schulz Philosophy

This is the personal philosophy of the late Charles Schulz, creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip and fellow citizen superhero.  It is a true testament to his amazing superpower for making others see joy in the world and greatness in themselves.  You don't have to answer the questions. Just ponder on them...

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world
2. Name the last five World Cup winners
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss UK pageant
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel Prize
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress
6. Name the last decade's worth of Wimbledon winners

How did you do?

The point is none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second-rate achievers.
They are the best in their fields.
…and…
Applause dies
Awards tarnish
Achievements are forgotten
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the
most credentials, the most money...or the most awards. They simply are the ones who
care the most!

Superhero Wisdom of the Week

"For once in your life have faith that even if you cannot see the greatness inside you -- powerful things in this universe can!" - BROTHER VOODOO

CS CHALLENGE:
Sometimes, after working so hard to protect and empower others, superheroes, we can lose sight of the greatness within ourselves.  Don't forget to hold the mirror up to yourself every now and again to admire all you have become.  Just make sure you're not using your powers of invisibility at that particular time :)

Power on!
